  • Primarily serves as a Linux System Engineer, providing Tier II/III support for over 300 servers Linux servers, utilizing applications such as Oracle Database, Weblogic, Splunk, Apache, Nagios and Ansible Tower, in support of the Veterans Benefit Management System Project (VBMS).
  • Served as Lead Linux Engineer in migrating all application and infrastructure servers from a stand-alone datacenter into AWS, setting up AWS infrastructure (i.e. load balancers, target/auto-scaling groups, security groups, NACLs) to allow application servers to run in a more efficient and secure manner.
  • Migrated Infrastructure servers, to include proxies (Apache, Squid), monitoring (Nagios Core/XI) and Database (Oracle 11g/OEM) from RHEL 6 to RHEL 7.
  • • Setup monthly Linux training program to provide junior personnel with the necessary training which would provide continuous growth, as well as ensure they are capable of performing common administrative tasks.

Served as the sole Linux System Engineer responsible for installation, system maintenance and troubleshooting of over 80 Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, located across 7 remote locations, housing applications utilized for creation of disk and books on "as-demanded" basis. First-tier responder to network-related issues with 7 production sites. Create and manage several access control lists (Ac Ls) implemented on Cisco aggregate routers within production sites that perform same function.
• Led efforts to migrate several non-standard company networks, which were failing to comply with security standards, onto company-supported networks.
• Replaced non-functioning Red-Hat Kickstart server, allowing servers to be built at remote sites to accommodate customer requests during company's peak sales season.
• Set up test network modeling site's production network, allowing group's development software to be thoroughly tested prior to being deployed into production.

Operations Server (IOS) V1, which operated on Sun V240 and Oracle T5140 hardware platforms and Solaris 10 operating system. Performed network configurations, track database management and patch upload.
• Managed group's Windows 2003 servers in test lab environment which were unassigned, overseeing user-accounts, DNS and DHCP configurations and file-system sharing, allowing test analysts to conduct functional and regression testing in methodical and timely manner and providing server support, if and / or when issues were to arise.
