Description

The Layer 0 Control Plane allows a customer or management system to easily control the configurable features of a network. It enables a self-aware network that automatically discovers network elements and access points. It allows single ended provisioning with routing, computed by an intelligent path computation engine based on physical and administrative constraints. Flex grid capable Layer 0 Control Plane enable capacity gains by operating on a flexible spectrum, allocating minimum required bandwidth, for a given channel configuration. Roles/Responsibility: • Design and Implementation of Flex grid architecture in Layer 0 control plane. Implemented mechanism for management of media channel and network media channel in control plane. This implementation also facilitates scale up and scale down of optical services. • Design and implemented clustering of alarm using k-mean algorithm, based on various factor. • Participated in design and development of resource adapters of various Ciena devices. • Implementation of acquiring control of legacy services using Layer0 Control plane. In optical network, there are services which are responsible for huge data flow, but these services are being managed manually. Layer0 control plane will provide mechanism for taking ownership of these legacy user services so that these legacy services along with their CRS could be managed in intelligent way. • Implementation of Regen cross connects for optical signal regeneration in R10.2. Based on data traffic condition in network, regeneration of optical data signal might be required for minimization of errors in long haul networks. • Design, implementation and testing of NvDtl feature. This feature provides a mechanism for exclusion of a path or set of paths from service setup. This set of paths is also excluded during any service operation. • Provided active support to PV testing team in multiple release. Resolved multiple complex issue which came during PV testing
