Description

Provided commercialization and entrepreneurial expertise via mentoring of undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. candidates while assisting IGE’s public-private partnerships. Identified patterns by reviewing entrepreneurial strengths, weaknesses, and proposals based on customer’s pains and gains. Trained entrepreneurs in customer interviews, problem and solution analysis, funding, presentations, and competitive market analysis of the marketplace. Mentored candidates in business model canvas identifying key partners, activities, resources, value propositions, distribution channels, cost structures, customer segments, and business development.

 Advised six teams of engineers and scientists from UCSD, Border Innovation Challenge, The Scripps Research Institute, University of Tokyo, and other institutions.

 Initiated, and created ongoing relationships with/for trainees, professional engineering and scientific networks, industry leaders, decision-makers, and venture capitalists.

 Coached and empowered entrepreneurs through educational, commercial, and international competitions for funding (with some placing in the top three winners circle).

Description

Enabled vehicle corrosion analysis by enhancing an accelerated corrosion expert simulator (ACES) AI-based Java/Swing simulation tool. Integrated physics-based, statistical, and heuristically reasoning subsystems running on parallel processing Graphical Processing Units (GPU) to model 3D CAD/CAE geometry. Implemented Bayesian networks with Second-Order Uncertainty (SOU) visualization tools to represent multi-agent systems via probabilistic relational models. Verified system functionality and usability with full coverage of quality control, automated testing, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

 Identified system architecture issues designed by expert mathematicians new to SWE in under a month.

 Mitigated software issues in full-stack front (UI), middle (business logic), and back-end (DB) development using third-party XML, X3D, and graphics; successfully transitioned cumbersome third-party interactions to produce mutually beneficial win-win relationships.

 Enhanced the AI mathematical engine’s real-time event distributions, increased decision-making accuracy 25%, system performance 10%, and reduced false-positive corrosion predictions by 15%.

 Resolved 25+ memory leaks, 100+ hidden legacy issues, and 700+ ignored warnings hiding critical issues in end-user required capabilities during the first six months.
