Project : Special Assets Group of Applications

Primary Role : Pega Senior Developer- Offshore Lead

Project Summary: Special Assets project is related with development and maintenance of the below 5 business specific applications which are used in Banking & Finance sector.

1. Offsets: An automated system that provides all needed information a specialist needs to make a decision as to whether or not to make an offset to a client account.

2. Recovery Legal: Recovery receives different types of charged-off accounts, e.g. Bankcard, Retail Loans, Prime Rate, BB&T Mortgage, Constant Credit, and Sales Finance, from different sections of the bank. Based on business rules, Recovery group determines the best approach is to turn collection efforts over to third-party vendors for collection. Accounts may be referred to collection agencies for collection or to law firms to process for suit.

3. Bankruptcy: Bankruptcy creates an interface between PEGA and the P8 system which is currently used in the Bankruptcy department to process bankruptcy cases thus it automates the case creation process from the emails received from the Bankruptcy Notification Center as well as documents received via internal email, fax, etc. and ultimately code fields on applicable systems as necessary.

4. Retail Foreclosure: Retail Foreclosure receives internal referrals from Centralized Collections, Bankruptcy and BB&T Mortgage as well as from external lenders foreclosing on a lien. Once a referral is received, it is the responsibility of the foreclosure department to analyze the property and determine if there is enough equity to pursue a legal foreclosure. If there is equity in the property, Retail Foreclosure partners with attorney firms throughout the footprint to ensure the appropriate processes are followed. If there is insufficient equity, Retail Foreclosure will make the appropriate accounting entries to charge off the loan balance from the loan system.

5. Bankruptcy Lawyer: This application is to build communication channel between bank officers and attorneys for sharing documents and comments with proper notifications.
