Description
Leadership Next Programme is a programme for survivors, those who were the victims of the human trafficking system or sexually exploited by the sex offenders. Victims of Commercial Sexually Exploitation of Children (VCSEC) suffers through the worst form of torture, starvation, humiliation and drug addiction. These survivors often face stigma and alienation from heir own family and society. Due to this situation, they loose confidence in the system and sometimes they are often re-trafficked. They have the potential to become tomorrow's leaders of change, just by providing them a little support and through professional interventions.
SLP programme is an effort to put an end to CSEoC. The objective is to empower survivors of CSEoC with much needed life skills to face the world with confidence and drive change, with a vision to reduce in number of children in situations of commercial sexual exploitation.
The indicators of SLP are:
- SLP is supporting transformation from victim to survivor, from survivor to leader
- SLP is growing leadership skills and role-taking among survivors (collectivization, autonomy, decision-making, relationship handling with mentoring organization, etc.)
- Survivors leadership growth increases the number and quality of their policy engagement
- survivors engagement with duty-bearers and government offices are increasing the responsiveness and accountability of those offices to rights-holders
Survivors' leadership growth is strengthening the system to combat and deter the commercial sexual exploitation of children

1. Background of Emergency MIS (EMIS)
Pandemic of COVID-19 caused the lockdown in India since March 25, 2020. The lockdown caused the significant distress of shortage, economic shock and health risk to all of us, in particular survivor leaders and their family members. Responding to the situation, GGBK, HELP, PAT and Sanjog assessed and identified the most vulnerable population in their respective areas and made the list of 227 survivors and women for Kamo's emergency cash support for May and June 2020.
Compiling the data from the list, Kamo decided to build the Emergency MIS (EMIS), to analysis the data, to present the data, to present the data analysis to the partner NGOs and survivor collectives in order for us to strategize the collective action together.
2. Objectives of this EMIS:
- To understand what is happening at systemic level in terms of access to entitlements and vulnerability to trafficking;
- To use the data analysis to strategize and implement the advocacy to the government for system strengthening; and
- To leverage the data to build collaboration with other financers
