Pinky's Westside Grill gained national notoriety when they were featured on an episode of Food Network's Diner's, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Owner Greg Auten has earned a special distinction by being one of the only chefs to have 2 restaurants featured on the show.

As a result, interest in the unique food and merchandise grew exponentially. A scalable, easy to edit platform was needed (with some mods of course!)

Using a customized Wordpress theme, we were able to showcase the unique restaurant artwork and unique menu items such as the White Trash Burger and while providing a secure way to shop from anywhere in the US.

Belcham provides many types of services to many Belgian individuals and organizations in the US, with a focus on New York City. The goal was to be able to customize the website based on user type.

Research determined there were 6 major users types (Student, Young Professional, Professional, Startup, Scaleup, Corporation) needing information and services from Belcham. It was determined that the differences in processes and information varied greatly by user type (with the exception of organization membership).

Information was displayed using CSS3 content switchers, allowing filtered information relevant to the user, while still ensuring that general information was displayed.

Description

CAGC had two primary goals in mind for the re-design of their site:

  • Modernize the look and feel for front-end users
  • Create a backend for employees to get on the fly data about members, relevant organization, and financial information

User research was conducted through questionnaires and brainstorming sessions for both employees and traditional users to determine what was lacking in the current website.

One of the main challenges the current website faced was information design and delivery, it was imperative to provide a solution that could deliver up-to-date information no matter what device the user was on. Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery we were able to deliver a scalable, smooth look and feel while maintaining easy access to pertinent information. Backend tools such as C# and SQL permitted real-time delivery of financials and member information to employee dashboards.
