Project Description: -

  • The CARESCAPE Gateway provides mechanisms for exchanging information between devices on the hospital's enterprise network and devices on the CARESCAPE Network MC and/or S/5 Network. It forms a secure data bridge so data residing on either network can be shared across the two networks. New version of this product is released with new Security and Disk space optimization features.

Period 9 months

  • Requirements, Analysis, design and development of code, testing
  • Prepared class diagrams, sequence diagrams using UML
  • Participated in meetings, technical discussion, reviews and release planning.
  • Prime contact for the customer to solve 3 party technical issues and other legacy product customer issues.

  • Project Description: -
  • GE has sponsored a study at the University of California – San Francisco entitled Alarm Fatigue in Intensive Care. The purpose of the study is:
  • To determine the prevalence of beside monitor alarms in the intensive care units, catalog causes of alarms, determine true versus false alarms, track alarm management and patient characteristics that correlate with frequent alarms, with the objective of improving patient care and safety.
  • GE will provide a Carescape Gateway that will interface to 77 beds on the Unity network and send patient data via Sapphire to the UCSF BedMasterEx data collection system for use by UCSF researchers.
  • Period 8 months
