Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) is a Java based GUI tool which is very useful to create, configure and drop databases. From 10g R2, this has been enhanced to manage the Automatic Storage Management (ASM) instance. Since Oracle is moving towards cloud, bringing this DBCA to cloud by using Rest Web services. Also bringing up the feature Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) in DBCA.

TDE is a feature where it provides encryption mechanism for the user created tablespaces and tables by creating the TDE wallet. Also currently working on DBCA light framework which is a project of removing dependency on other applications.
