Description
Deploying rate & product revisions in production is crucial for Insurance Companies. Any errors in rate & product revisions will cause huge loss & penalties to Insurance companies. Westfield Insurance company was using 6 FTE to perform rates upload to mainframe and verifications manually. As an RPA lead, I played a crucial role in automating these rates upload to mainframe and verification process.
I proposed to use multi BOT architecture in this process so that by using Work Queues BOTs can share rate keys update & verification tasks. With Blue Prism Solution in place, FTE count reduced from 6 to 1 which is a huge profit to Client.
We gained below efficiencies with this RPA process Implementation.
- Enhanced flexibility – Process can be extended to other line of business with little changes.
- Increased reliability – Automated Manual Rating is controlled from the BluePrism server
- Enhanced exception handling – This is a core strength of BluePrim, and the process has been developed using these techniques
- Multi-BOT Architecture – With the use of Multi-BOT Architecture work load can be shared across BOTs through work queue feature.

Monitoring ticket in easy vista ticket monitoring tool during business hours ( MON-FRI, 8AM-6PM) is a manual task. One person must constantly monitor the queue and acknowledge any new incident ticket. There are SLAs associated based on the priority of ticket and hence a constant monitoring is required.
I worked as an RPA lead and automated incident monitoring process through Blue Prism. In this RPA solution, Scheduler in Control room is used & we used one BOT to perform this task and BOT is scheduled to run during business hours ( MON-FRI, 8AM-6PM).
We gained below efficiencies with this RPA process Implementation.
- Enhanced flexibility – Process can be extended to send notification for other priorities without changing the code
- Increased reliability – QMON process is controlled from the BluePrism server
- Enhanced exception handling – This is a core strength of BluePrim, and the process has been developed using these techniques
- Web based self-service user interface to change notification groups
- Capability to send ticket notifications via Text Message
- Capability of recording notification acknowledgement via EverBridge
- Capability of multi-layer conditional notifications based on notification acknowledgement via EverBridge
