Parking Violation is a product that provides an entire solution to all sorts parking violations through a single app. It can help new companies setup their parking process through this app. They can setup and customize almost everything ranging from violation codes and the fines for each to the type and format of ticket to be issued. The tickets are issued by the company’s employees through a mobile app. And once the tickets are issued, they can be paid for through our web app itself.

The purpose of this application is to improve the productivity of parking management teams by providing a single location that collects, organizes and displays relevant parking information. ParkAide tool helps backend staff to monitor parking infrastructure like parking spaces and pay stations besides monitoring and communicating with enforcement staff.

Job mainly consists of learning existing applications in a specific department for First Data. Each application at the moment stands alone, built using legacy systems (VB6 and some in VB.Net) and is used by different people. Each application has its own important role in a bigger system. My role is to learn and understand each app and try to bring all of them together as much as possible into one system which will be built from scratch on .NET Core 1.0 platform using Visual studio 2015 and SQL Server, thus migrating all current legacy systems to a .Net platform which in the future will also run on other platform like Mac and Linux. I will be involved in building the environment for Dev, QA and Prod on their 3 different servers. And all of this while having to comply with all the security measures and policies in place. Also other parts of the job involves fixing some extremely high priority bugs in the existing legacy apps as well as getting involved with everyone who uses the app which helps in understanding each standalone app as to where they fall in the whole application
