CAD and PDM systems were implemented, tested and hand over to end users

Description

ABB company had global PDM system which was integrated with different country PDM systems around the world: Finland, Sweden, Italy, China, Estonia and so on. My everyday duties on this role were to support system and engineers. If there were some problems then I needed to fix them, in case we had newcomers in the company then provide them needed training, client installation and support.

During my time of working in ABB, I had run several projects related to the development and improvement of local PDM Teamcenter (TC).

a) PDM system implementation. Describe AS-IS processes (without TC) and TO-BE processes (with TC), identify requirements, install Development environment, integrate CAD system with PDM, develop ETL application (T4S) for SAP integration, test all system functionalities, test BOM creation and transfer to ERP, testing of the multisite transfer process between different sites (countries). When Development system was tested and met business requirements, the next step was to deploy the same setups into Production environment, provide end user training and support.

b) PDM TC upgrade project where were upgraded old version of TC into new. It was very similar to the new project where we needed to build new environment from the scratch (new server, data transfer from old server into new) development and test of all functionalities in Development system (T4S development, ERP and CAD integration). When the process was tested, it was made deployment into Production environment, provided end user training and support.

c) Master Data Management (MDM) project: change PDM Teamcenter master data (new attributes creation, T4S modification, CAD, PDM and ERP integration test.

d) CAD system migration project (convert I-Deas models, drawings into NX format.
