Supporting Enterprise Sybase database environment for One of Wipro's US based insurance client. The project involved oversees assignment at the client location

Responsibilities included automating routine DBA tasks using tools such as ansible,migration of Sybase ASE servers from HP - Ux to Linux platform, administering and upgrading Sybase power designer tool,coordinating with vendor for critical incidents including software bugs,problem management and RCA preparation for critical incidents in Sybase,identifying the gaps in monitoring setup for Enterprise Sybase database environment and propose solutions to bridge the gap,evaluate new features and tools for sybase.

Project involved supporting Sybase ASE and Oracle databases for Sungard's investment banking division. The responsibilities included capacity planning,backup/restore databases using database native utilities,supporting disaster recovery tests for various investment banking clients,schema creation ,installation,upgradation and configurations of database for Sybase and Oracle.Assisting developers for query tuning,object creations.

Project involved 24*7 support for Sybase ASE and Replication servers hosted at TriZetto data centers.Support includes user requests like database backup and restore,investigating blocking issues,tempdb full issues,deadlocks,long running queries,object creations,bulk copy data for users,query tuning,installation, upgradation,configuration.

Remote DBA support for Sybase ASE and Replication server for clients across retail,manufacturing,banking clients of Sybase professional services.The remote support include E2E support including user request support like terminating a session,log suspend ,tempdb full to installing,upgrading, configuring Sybase ASE and Replication servers,performance tuning,backup and restore a database,weekly maintenance like reorg,update stats,dbcc.
