Senior QA Engineer

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

● Functional (System , Regression) and Performance testing of API's, web and mobile apps.

● Work with test automation tools (e.g: Selenium, Jmeter, Grinder, Gattling etc)

● Automated REST based API testing.

● Create test data and seed databases, according to the test plan specifications.

● Create Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Case Design, Test data,Test Case Execution, Test Report, Traceability matrix, Log defects, Test Report Analysis.

● Analyze and understand existing test coverage and test cases, identifying opportunities for redesign, replacement, reusability, and improvement in efficiency and performance.

● Design and execution of performance tests (load/stress, stability, latency, endurance)

● Generation and analysis of System's performance metrics, identification of hot spots,

bottlenecks, tuning parameters.

● Work closely with the DevOps team for performance improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

● At least 5+ years of related professional experience in software testing across the full software life-cycle including design, implementation, testing, operations and maintenance.

● Experience working in a continuous integration / continuous delivery development environment.

● Should have basic programming skills in either PHP, Python or Java

● Working knowledge of Databases like MySQL, MongoDB.

● Hands-on working experience with test processes, methodologies, tools, and technologies.

● Familiar with Behavior-driven and/or Test-driven development is a plus.

● Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

● Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

● Self-motivated and self-driven, continuously learning, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
