Job Description

• Basic Knowledge of Oracle Database Fundamentals and Architecture.
• Oracle Memory Allocation
• Concept of storage allocation. I.e. ASM, Table space and data files, Listeners, Redo logs, Rollback Segment, Oracle Transaction
• Performance & query tuning using various tools (OEM, SQL tuning advisor, SQLT, own customized scripts etc).
• Should have proactive approach and ability to identify high resource consuming Queries
• Should be able to interpret and resolve various wait events involving query tuning.
• Good working knowledge of performance tuning and optimization of PLSQL
• Good working knowledge of SQL commands, PLSQL and system packages
• Understanding / troubleshooting, debugging in functions, procedures, packages etc.
• Experience in interpreting Query Plans in detail.
• Experience in working with large databases.
• Experience in materialized views and table partitions.
• Ability to use and interpret internal performance tuning tools like AWR/ASH/10046 tracing etc.
• Strong Communication skill to discuss with various stakeholders and get recommendations implemented
