Senior Wordpress Developer

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Wordpress engineer 

• 5 Years+ Exp 
• Full Frontend capability 
• Full backend capability 
• Minor ability in managing server. 
• Work in NZ Timezone (E.g. 6:30am start and 2:30pm finish IST) 

To be considered for this role, you will be highly motivated and have excellent knowledge of Wordpress including building themes from scratch using Advanced Custom Fields and creating custom plugins (no page builders). You will have knowledge of Sass (CSS), HTML, JS (jQuery) and PHPWhile this role will typically be working on backend WP tasks, being able to pick up frontend duties would be advantageous. Key day-to-day will be: 

• Building site structure by creating a custom Wordpress theme from frontend HTML (using plugins such as Advanced Custom Fields)
• Working with our favoured suite of plugins and environment – installing, configuring and extending them (Advanced Custom Fields, Woocommerce, Woocommerce Subscriptions and more)
• Performing core backend development – templating and using Wordpress hook/filter/action
• Using Git for version control
• Optimising site performance, ensuring Google PageSpeed scores are high and sites respond effectively. 
• Advising on DNS and email deliverability issues

It would be advantageous to also have skills in:- cPanel- Linux (Ubuntu) and confident using command line- Scoping and quoting of full builds as well as as smaller compartmentalised projects/tasks- - Familiarity with other CMS platforms (such as Silverstripe, CraftCMS)- Experience with frontend frameworks (such as React)- Experience integrating with third party APIs and services
