UI/UX designer

The incumbent is part of the ‘Technology & Customer experience’ VP’ship in the organization of Hindustan Wellness. This is a new position and he/she will be reporting to the Lead Technical Architect who then reports to the VP. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in joining a lean, innovative group in a mid-size company with significant growth opportunities. His/her main responsibilities will be, but not limited to – Responsibilities • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to gather user requirements. • Use various ideation methods like brainstorming to solve the user’s needs to add value to the company. • Explore various design approaches to solve specific user problems. • Showcase design ideas through sitemaps, storyboards, and process flows.• Design and create mock-ups and user journeys for a wide range of devices including mobile. • Implement the latest design innovations to ensure that the product is in accordance with the cutting-edge technology. • Define user task flows and interaction models. • Create a cohesive style guide to ensure consistent design language is followed across the product. • Conduct user research • Translate user behaviour and research into actionable data. • Create user personas • Conduct customer and competitor analysis. • Create prototypes, wireframes, and mock-ups to demonstrate the functioning and layout of the product. • Optimize UI designs and tests for intuitiveness and usercenteredness. • Conduct usability testing to identify gaps in design and see if they can be further improved. • Strategically create new features and functionality based on user stories and behaviour. • Ability to clearly communicate research and design ideas to the rest of the team and upper management.
Minimum Required Skill set • Deep understanding of Apple’s human interface design guidelines, Android design, and other mobile platform designs, including Google’s material design. • Expert level skills in Photoshop, InvisionApp, Figma, and other relevant design tools. • Excellent understanding of user-experience design for mobile and the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work. • Strong ability to recognize and predict use-cases and user interaction, including happy path, edge, and corner cases, and incorporate them into designs. Added advantage(s) - - Presently employed in an organization with an employee strength of 500 or more - Candidate is a graduate from either of the following schools - one of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Symbiosis Institute of Design, Dept. of design (IIT Delhi), IDC (IIT Bombay), Design Boat UI/UX School and other design schools of similar stature and recognition.
