Backend Developer

Who are we: Cape is an expert media, design, and digital marketing agency offering comprehensive digital marketing strategies and imaginative content creation, geared towards helping businesses stand out from the crowd. About the role: Your day-to-day activities will include managing data exchange between the server and the users of our clients. Key responsibilities will include developing the server-side logic, defining and maintaining the core database, and guaranteeing excellent performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.

Responsibilities and deliverables: 

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimization for maximum speed and scalability
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions

Software/platforms 

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Backend : 
• Core Java, Javascript 
• Angular ( version 6 and above ) 
• Angular ( at least a bover version 4 )
• Node JS , React JS 
• Database: 
• SQL , NOSQL, Mongo db 
• Web services : 
• Rest API 
• SOAP API 
• Smart and hybrid API modelling 
• Integrations :
• API integration 
• Web integration 
• Synchronous and asynchronous integration

Should be able to: 

• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Manage to host environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
• Data migration, transformation, and scripting
• Setup and administration of backups
• Understand the differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

Work culture: We are a super pro-active team of designers, digital marketers, performance marketers - basically a big family, doing stuff that we love doing while growing our clients' business in the digital jungle! We work from Monday - Saturday. We work out of our office in Chennai from Monday to Friday and we work from home on Saturdays. Business hours are between 11 am and 6:30 pm.
