Full Stack Engineer

What You'll Be Doing:

• Contribute to full-stack software design and development with a focus on adequate design documentation, maintainability, usability, scalability, and performance.
• Work in agile sprints building new features and enhancing existing areas of our tools using Angular and Ruby on Rails.
• Write clean and maintainable ROR code according to the company's coding guidelines, create unit tests, conduct code review, and participate in integration testing with the QA team when needed.
• Perform production support with PagerDuty including triage and bug fixing.
• Help drive new releases, breaking down complex requirements into actionable development work that can include other engineers.
• Work closely with architect, business, marketing, and operations teams to understand the future business direction with the goal of architecting the platform optimally for feature delivery.
• Be a positive influence on the team participating in design reviews, collaborating with other developers, and ensuring adherence to coding and testing standards.
• Help foster an environment of engineering excellence by coaching and mentoring more junior engineers.
• Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends.

• 3+ years of full-stack software development experience with customer-facing web applications, preferably in an AWS environment
• Excellent complex problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience with a modern JavaScript framework (Angular/Vue/React)
• Experience working with, creating, and consuming REST web services and APIs
• Experience with SQL databases (MySQL is a plus)
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills
• Experience with one of the following: Node.js, Java, Objective C, mobile development (iOS or Android)
• Experience with Web scraping is a plus
