Devops Engineer

Position: DevOps Engineer Experience: 2 to 6 years Must have skills:

1. Linux system administration
2. Shell Scripting , Python/Perl/Bash
3. Continuous Integration, Deployment (CI/CD)

Good to have:

1. Bigdata technologies
2. Chef/Puppet/Ansible or similar tools
3. Networking concepts
4. Management of Cloud(AWS/GCP/Azure etc) or on-premise infrastructure

General Expectations: Qualification : Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science or a related field. As a DevOps engineer, you will oversee designing, deploying, monitoring and managing uptime of infrastructure and platform components. We are looking for engineers who are experienced in Linux system administration and Bigdata technologies and have a broad knowledge of tools and processes used by DevOps engineers. This includes Agile Project Management, Cloud Technology, Virtualization, Continuous Integration, Deployment Automation & Orchestration, Infrastructure Automation, etc In addition, you will be developing new features and writing scripts for automation using Python/Java/Bash.

• Ability to work closely with dev teams and gather requirements.
• Understand the overall product architecture and suggest/implement improvements.
• Understand and implement DevOps best practices.
• Good understanding of Linux fundamentals - Process/Memory management, Storage etc
• Good understanding of networking concepts - TCP/IP Protocol, routing, DNS, VPN, Load Balancing
• Knowledge of Bash and Linux command line tools for debugging/automation purposes
• Basic knowledge about CI/CD
• Automation of system/application deployment and configuration management
• Ability to debug and resolve production issues quickly
• Ability to learn new technologies and apply them quickly
• Follows process
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Implement monitoring, alerting and log processing of systems and applications
• Ability to code and proficiency in one scripting language(Python/Perl) apart from shell scripting
• Identify manual repetitive tasks and automate it
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Team player
