Node.js Developer

Job Description

As an API Developer you will be responsible for designing and building Enterprise APIs to grow and support our Client’s digital footprint. You will work with stakeholders, technology team leadership and subject matter experts to analyze, design, build and implement API's needed within the organization. You will also be in charge of implementation, documentation, and integration of a variety of software platforms through the REST API framework. We apply a SCRUM development methodology and requires a self-starter who can deliver results with minimal guidance, whilst meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Capable of API delivery end to end which includes Planning, Design, Development, Testing, and Delivery of API(s).Implement common APIs based on architecture guidelines and framework related to logging, authentication, security, error recovery etc. Responsibilities will potentially include identifying opportunities to improve CI/CD processes and potentially helping fine tune API support processes. Perform QA on your own work, write automated tests, and optimize your code. Participate in an agile delivery process, and as part of that help size stories and own, research and recommend new solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, engineering 5+ years of experience with full stack development3+ years’ experience with UI frameworks (Angular, typescript) & NodeJS knowledge of, unit testing, package manager and build automation tools Experience with unit test frameworks (e.g. mocha, chai,)Experience working in a fast-paced environment with Scrum/Agile project methodology is required. Familiarity with database technology such as Oracle and MongoDB. Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills and learning capability

Desired Skills Elastic Search Working knowledge with source/version control platforms (GIT, Subversion)Working knowledge with continuous integration technologies (Jenkins)Working knowledge with application containers (Dockers)Hands-on experience with Kubernetes: Cluster maintenance, logging monitoring, security, troubleshooting.
