Senior Project Manager

Job Description:

Software project managers are in charge of the planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and delivery of software and web projects. They ensure the successful completion of all software projects and also oversee the people performing work on the projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

● Oversee front-end and back-end development teams and their projects

● Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements

● Defining and managing scope, creating a work breakdown structure (WBS), and requirements gathering

● Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

● Planning, defining, and developing schedules, activities, estimating resources and activity durations

● Planning for and identifying potential risks, performing qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, and planning risk mitigation strategies

● Planning and estimating costs, and determining budgets

● Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan

● Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

● Organising and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion

● Maintains the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.

● Utilize industry best practices, innovative technologies and standards throughout the entire project execution

● Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

● Review and update policies relevant to internal systems and equipment

● Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions

● Responsible for developing the appropriate organisational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables Self Management

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field 

Requirements:

● 5-8 years of project management and related experience

● Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

● Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

● Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

● Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful

● Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams

● Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level

● Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements

● Demonstrable experience of leading an engineering function with a proven track record in strategic engineering leadership delivering effective engineering strategies, policies, processes and systems
