Data Engineer
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and maintain optimal data pipelines and monitoring systems
● Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, data monitoring etc.
● Create tools and packages for bioinformaticians that assist them in building and optimizing their own production-grade pipelines
● Actively participate in product discussions
● Effectively communicate results to data scientists
● Participate in code reviews
Key Qualifications Include
● 1-3 years of Python development experience
● Prior experience with Dockers, AWS/Azure services, Workflow management systems like Airflow/Next flow preferred
● Experience performing root cause analysis on internal data to identify opportunities for improvement
● Experience with big data tools like Spark, Hadoop, Kafka is a plus
● Prior experience with Biological Data is a big plus
