Roles and Responsibilities

Develop cloud-based Python Django software for

• Social media with feed, post, comment, like, reply structure
• Real time chat application
• Microtransactions based e-commerce application
• Gameplay with event-based reward system
• Admin portal for internal team analytics and operations
• Working closely with UX and Front-end Developers
• Participating in architectural, design and product discussions Designing and creating RESTful APIs for internal consumption

Skills

• 3+ years experience of Python coding skills
• 2+ years hands on experience with the Django framework
• Strong understanding of the event based real time systems
• Strong analytical skills to manage and capitalise user data
• Solid database skills in a relational database (i.e. PostgresSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Knowledge of how to build and use with RESTful APIs Strong
• knowledge of version control (i.e. git, svn, etc.)
• Experience deploying Python applications into production
• Additional Skills Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure knowledge
• Experience of working with android/iOS applications Know-how of micro-transactions and mobile game dynamics

Our organisation is looking for a Senior Backend (Django) Developer who is extremely knowledgeable and a driven individual to assist the organisation in designing and programming web applications. You will look after the developing backend code which efficiently and effectively interfaces with front end code to transact data. You will need to liaise with front end developers extremely regularly, so being a good communicator and collaborator is extremely important.
