Data Sutram is an AI-driven platform that provides Intel on People & Places with data from

250+ sources. The proprietary AI and ML driven data engine automatically converts raw

unstructured sources of data from satellites, mobile phones, POS machines & several other

sources to create insights that capture how people live & behave, available for any location in

varying levels of granularity. These insights are consumed by several companies in Financial

Services, Retail, E-commerce, Manufacturing etc. through APIs or SDKs or Data Sutram’s

proprietary geospatial platform.

Fund), Yatra Angel Network, IIFL Fintech Fund, Indian Angel Network and 100xVC.

About the Role: Business Analyst

Data Sutram is an alternate data company whose data and technology is extensively

utilized for use cases across the sectors - BFSI, Retail & Real Estate, etc. Business Analysts

at Data Sutram are Solution owners that have expertise in analysis and description of

business processes, and their translation into functional and non-functional data & analytics

requirements. Business analysts act as the interpreters between data scientists and clients.

Typical examples of the deliverables are functional and non-functional requirements, user

stories, use-cases, process models, and impact analysis and project planning.

Responsibilities:

Define and document functional, non-functional, user experience requirements,

process flows, use case scenarios, user stories, models, and conceptual design

diagrams to support iterative development

●

Lead cross functional team meetings to define and obtain a sign off on the product

requirements

●

Provide constant vision and feedback to the product team during the product

development and testing process

●

Define epics and granular user stories, as applicable, based on the product

requirements

●

Collaborate with QA teams in reviewing test plans for applicability and test coverage

●

Participate in scrum ceremonies as the solution owner and assist in sprint planning,

estimation, requirement analysis and review, taking a call on trade-offs and conflict

resolution

●

Prioritize requirements for the sprint and the release collaborating with the offering

manager

●

Collaborate with Infrastructure, Architecture, Legal and the PMO teams to deliver

technology to comply with regulations like HIPAA, GDPR, etc.

●

Contribute to outbound product marketing and collateral development, including

feature and product capability descriptions, release notes, technical specifications,

technical user and business value stories, client case studies, and the like

●

Provide demo of implemented functionality to internal/external parties

●

Serve as a product specialist for Client Success and Client Support teams

●

Assist in troubleshooting production issues, identifying and analyzing root causes

●

Act as a technical subject matter expert for business users

●

Identify product enhancements based on customer feedback

●

Manage and mentor junior business analysts

●

Collaborate with teams across functions to get things done

Preferred Technical & Professional expertise:

●

3+ years of experience in translating business requirements to solution requirements

and product requirements to detailed user stories for implementation

●

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

●

Subject matter knowledge in relevant sectors - BFSI, Retail.

●

Extensive knowledge of Data Science Applications & Statistical Analysis.

●

Knowledge of Project Management tools like Jira .

●

Preparing client reports, PRDs, presentations, wireframing on tools like Figma.

●

Project management experience with data science solutions.

●

Strategy Consulting experience.
