Role Title: Senior/Lead DBA

Get to know the role

You would be primarily administering MySql on EC2 and AWS RDS. You would be managing Postgres (PgSQL), Mongo (NoSql), and RedShift databases running on the cloud. You would be closely working with developers and would keep a close eye on database performance.

You will be responsible for:

• MySql administration on EC2 & AWS RDS
• PgSQL and Mongo administration on EC2 & on the cloud
• MySQL, PgSQL & Mongo performance tuning
• Data modeling & query tuning
• Enforcement & compliance security policy
• Studying database internals, new features & 3rd party-open source technologies

Key Role Requirements / Functional Competencies:

• Overall Experience : 10 years Max.
• Should have 6+ years of experience in DB administration
• In-depth understanding with 6 to 9 years experience in MySQL, PgSQL, and NoSql databases
• In-depth understanding of AWS RDS databases
• Experience in large-scale database operation
• Reviewing Mysql query performance and optimizing code
• Creating table indexes to improve database performance
• Creating and designing tables when new modules are added to a software product
• Reviewing current Mysql database design and making suggestions for better performance
• Defining triggers on necessary tables
• Proactive communication skills toward developers
• Knowledge of RedShift management would be a plus
