Remote Java Developer / Application Security Consultant

Exciting Remote Java Developer / Application Security Consultant, 12 plus months contract, opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Development background in Java and Spring Boot.
• Utilize source code scan tools such as Veracode, Checkmarx, or SonarQube to assist application development teams to apply the best practice for application security and catch potential vulnerabilities at early stage
• Conduct security assessments, security penetration testing and validation of test results
• Provide security insights to vulnerability scan/pen test results
• Working closely with development teams to assess the security posture/risk of the product features being developed
• Conducts network monitoring and Systems (IDS/IPS), Firewalls, SIEM, NAC, Vulnerability Management tools
• Experience with application security tools as IBM AppScan, Fortify, Checkmarx, Veracode
• Correlates network activity across networks to identify trends of unauthorized use
