SDE 2 Backend Scala

Key Responsibilities:

Design, development, testing and deployment of significant features, driving them from development to production using Scala and Play framework

• Build RESTful APIs ,components, frameworks and CI/CD pipelines that increase quality,

predictability and efficiency of business outcomes

• Develop scalable, robust, and simple web-based solutions to solve complex business problems

• Formulate, implement, and evaluate algorithms and database queries to support SaaS scalability

and stability

• Generate innovative new ideas, concepts, high fidelity software prototypes and minimum viable

products (MVPs) which accelerate or create new business capabilities.

• Interact directly with client project team members and operational staff

• Data modelling in Relational and NoSQL databases

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing microservices using Spring or Play

frameworks

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST,

JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, GraphQL, and Swagger

• Experience developing within agile methodology using CI/CD pipeline

• Experienced in microservices architectures

• Experience supporting and/or implementing complex integration projects

• Excellent data structure & algorithm and problem solving skills.

• Experience with Data modelling would be an asset

• Hands-on working knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes

• Problem Solving abilities with strong grasp on algorithms and fundamentals. 

• Exposure to Azure, AWS or GCP a plus

• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools.

• Exposure to NoSQL databases will be a plus.
