CTO Job Description


We are seeking a highly-skilled CTO with a storied history in the technological sector. You will be tasked with making executive technology decisions on behalf of the company, including managing a technology budget and making investments to align the company with its vision for its technological needs. You should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an expert in technological development.


You will work directly under the CEO and will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company.


CTO Responsibilities:


·      Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company.

·      Building and leading tech team of the Company

·      Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs.

·      Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.

·      Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements.

·      Acting as a mentor to team members.

·      Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivery of IT projects to market.

·      Staying on top of technology trends and developments.

·      Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.


CTO Requirements:


·      Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role

·      Proven track record of success in leadership positions

·      5+ years’ software engineering and IT experience

·      Has to be from tier 1 institutes – IIT / VIT

·      Advanced technological skillset and a demonstrated history with technology.

·      Exceptional team management skills.

·      Excellent verbal and written communication.

·      Leadership and organizational abilities

·      Ability to delegate efficiently.

·      BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus


About us:


Saakh is an early stage fintech startup based out of Ahmedabad. We are building Linkedin for MSMEs selling on credit to reinvent the way goods are sold on credit. We are building a community of trustable businesses.



Every seller who sells on credit, faces incredible difficulty in collecting payments from his customers. They face following problems:

1)    Each customer’s reference has to be checked before selling goods to him;

2)    Rigorous payment follow-ups are being done on a daily basis which is very stressful for a seller

3)    Problem of late payment – Irrespective of the terms of sale, customers pay whenever they feel like.

4)    Fear of bad debts – With every customer onboarded, seller takes on a risk and once the risk materializes, there is nothing which a seller can do to recover his payments.



To solve this payment collection problem, we feel there is only one solution which is to analyze payment habits of customer and assign a credit score to each business. What CIBIL score does for banks, the same needs to be done for MSMEs selling on credit. Each customer needs to be held accountable for their payment behaviors.


We have also done accounting integrations to enable seller automate the payment follow-ups and get their accounts on mobile.


Vision of Saakh is to make payment collections TIMELY & AUTOMATIC for MSMEs.
