DB Developer

Job Description:

• 5+ years of experience working as a database developer in Enterprise Data Warehousing environments

• Work with Business Analysts and potentially business customers to verify requirements

• Design/model tables to meet architectural requirements for dimensional/star schema and other modelling approaches

• Strong experience developing with SQL

• Construct mapping documents involving source and destination and extract/transform/load rules for the ETL

• Extensive experience with Microsoft BI stack (SSIS SSRS and SSAS) strongly preferred

• Experience in analysing data profiling, data mining, data cleansing, data content and translating data via rules from one database to another

• Good amount of experience with best practices in Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, and Conceptual and Logical Data Design.

• Strong Data Modelling skills to include data quality, source systems analysis, business rules validation, source to target mapping design, prepare sample data example and data validation with ETL team (SCD types tables and Fact tables)

• Experience in data migration between different database engines especially to SQL Server.

• Experience in creating visual reports using Power BI,SSRS

Skills Required:

• Strong experience with developing ETL packages on any ETL tool.

• Experience in performing Database Migrations.

• Strong knowledge of SSAS.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
