Senior WordPress / WooCommerce Developer

We are looking for someone with more than 5 years of experience implementing projects for Online Course platforms based on Wordpress + WooCommerce + Marketing Automation, to fill the role of Technical leader. It is essential to have proven experience in our core tech stack. We are looking for a motivated and passionate person to join our amazing team.

- Wordpress + Active Campaign
- Core WP Plugins: WooCommerce, Learn Dash, Memberium
— Requirements and qualifications
- You must be an expert in WooCommerce and perfectly understand all the processes of an Online School platform (promotion, sale, course, support).
- All our users workflow (access, notifications, sales emails) are based on Automations in Active Campaign. So experience in Marketing Automation is important.
- Functional Analyst Mindset: Normalizing and clarifying requirements, to investigate and find the best solution that the community of each tool is already using for the requirement. Our tech stack is based on the online courses market standards.
- PHP / JavaScript / CSS knowledge
- Experience in positions of high responsibility in large projects to be able to make tech decisions.
- Education: Associate's Degree in computer related discipline. Relevant experience of at least 5 years with a similar tech stack may substitute for the degree requirement.
- English: Good level of English to communicate with a team made up of people from at least 8 different countries. And to understand documentation and contact the technical support of the tools.
— Duties and responsibilities
- Debug and fix bugs (PHP / JavaScript / CSS, advanced understanding of log errors)
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality: Like choose and install a new Plugin, find and setup a new tool or add a function to an existing tool/component.
- Integration between all the web tools (API integration, zapier, webhooks).
- In some cases, when the solution is not already in the community: Create specific solutions that require custom code (PHP/JS)
- Debug and solve WooCommerce transaction issues. Our current payment gateways: PayPal, NMI, Autorize.net
- Technically assist other team members in the use of our tools (Zapier, Acuity, Post Affiliate Pro, HelpDesk)
- Manage hosting issues, ensuring high-performance and availability
- Security: Monitor and improve security aspects of our system
- Document new solutions and review current solutions pending documentation
- Monitor proper function of critical pages
- Understand Tracking codes (Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics / Facebook Pixel / Tracking plugins)
— Job Conditions
- Location: 100% Remote (we are in Spain, Thailand and India)
- Job type: Full time position, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Hours: Flexible hours, but must coincide at least 4 hours with our India/Thailand team
- Salary: $2.000 to $3.000 USD per month depending on your experience
- Start date: June (we will start with a trial month)
