Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 4 technical resources and 2 functional resources.
- Develop and maintain a custom module for the client which would be a bridge between the client software and Oracle Apps.
- The client software would send data into a custom table and that would be inserted into another custom table via a database trigger.
- Subsequently through a series of concurrent programs data would be transferred to Oracle Apps. Sales orders would be created and processed.
- Data would be sent back to the client database as processed data.
- Developed a custom program for uploading Service Contracts. All the user had to do was place the data files on the FTP server and then run one concurrent program. This program took care of loading the data into custom tables and performing all necessary validations. Data which passed all validations was then used to create the service contracts in Oracle. For the records which were in error, proper error messages were displayed in the concurrent program error log, so that the user could fix the errors and load the data again.
- Led weekly calls with the client for weekly updates.
- Had the responsibility for researching on Oracle Apex and developing a number of custom reports and custom query only forms in Apex.
