Description
Equinix primary role is to provide data centers connectivity across the globe. NOCC is a web application which enable network engineers to configure ports and other configuration stuff such as patch panels, wires, and other customer related info. It also provides data to the various upstream and downstream systems as well. Since this application can be accessed only by enterprise users who are on the corporate network, it is being developed as a responsive web application to support multiple devices. This application is currently in production and is getting revamped with all latest technologies in place undergoing functional changes as per users feedback. I understand the business requirements and help in architecting the design as well as development around the functionality of the app. Involved in analysis of User Requirement Documents, Design Documents and Test Plans. Unit and Integration level testing. Development of the web pages using Angular, Bootstrap, Java, Spring Boot, JPA etc. Interacting with Onsite team to discuss about application related issues and updates. Resolving issues reported by customer during UAT period and worked on production issues. Efforts estimation of CRs (Change Requests) and code reviewing. Upgrading the application from JSF to angular7 and moving onto microservices architecture. Improving the existing services and implementing new ideas to increase the durability and availability of the application. Integrating the existing application into CI/CD and improve performance metrics.

The Union Pacific Railroad network is the largest in the United States that operates 8,400 locomotives over 31,390 route-miles in 23 states in the western two-thirds of the United States. Management Information Systems (MIS) is the system being developed and coded by Union Pacific Railroad to interface with the PTC-BOS to process messages generated on locomotives bound for the MIS system. Logging and transformation of the messages. Consist of 9 services such as authentication service, location name service and 33 modules, that maintains a proper coordination between the locomotive and the BOS (common back office hardware and software that UP and other railroads will be running) Interfaces utilized by personnel to perform remote troubleshooting activities, manage remote resources, and communicate with remote devices requires configuration of records that allow for the interpretation of coded values into business language. Involved in analysis of User Requirement Documents, Design Documents and Test Plans. Involved in requirements gathering for Admin UI, Train Pacing UI, and LFR and EMD modules. Unit and Integration level testing. Coding the web pages using HTML, Wicket framework till DAO layer. Interacting with Onsite team to discuss about application related issues and updates.
