Project Name : Big friendly Giant; Central Repository (CR) known as BFG or Big Friendly Giant is responsible for Analysis, Design, Development, Deployment and Support for product builds and Maintenance of database. It consists of BT Customers, Suppliers, Contracts, Sites, Products and Inventory information. This project deals with common data which are required by every business organization and it also deals with inventory system of British Telecom. This project contains four types of databases i.e. Portfolio, Proposition, Order and Inventory (BFG). the Order is placed and in Order Database and there after inventory is created using Inventory Database i.e. BFG. Component Development: This project deals with the inventory storage that holds the inventory details for the CSDK, PSDK stacks. It is used to orchestrate the order coming from upstream and get required notifications from the downstream systems for service fulfillment. The service provisioning workflows in the Provide IP application are based on Oracle Workflows. When orders are placed against the products, Apart from this, Provide IP is also used for storing the service details of each service provided by the system throughout the lifetime of the service.
