Job Description: CPI and API Developer

As a CPI and API Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining integrations using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and API management technologies. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement integrations using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) to enable smooth data flow between various applications and systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, solution architects, and project managers, to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Create and configure APIs using API management tools, ensuring security, scalability, and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integrations, APIs, and data transformations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in CPI and API management, and apply this knowledge to improve integration processes and strategies.
• Work with testing teams to ensure the quality and reliability of integrations, performing testing, debugging, and documentation as necessary.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers, assisting them in understanding complex integration scenarios and coding practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation through integrations.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of coding standards and development methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in software development, with at least 3 years of dedicated experience in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and API management.
• Proven expertise in designing, developing, and implementing integrations using SAP CPI, including experience with various adapters and connectors.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Groovy, along with experience in working with RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with API management tools and concepts, including API security, versioning, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to integrations, connectivity, and data transformation.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented approach to development, testing, and documentation.
• Prior experience in mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance is a plus.
• SAP CPI or API management certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
• A self-motivated and proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
