Database Backend Development: Database Developer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL development. The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing complex SQL queries, creating and managing PL/pgSQL functions, working with triggers, and handling JSON data structures within the database. You will work closely with application developers, data analysts to ensure efficient and reliable data flow and database logic.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain PL/pgSQL functions, stored procedures, and database triggers.

●

Collaborate with the backend and frontend teams to support data-driven application development.

●

Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting, analytics, and application needs.

●

Analyze and improve database performance including query optimization and indexing.

●

Work extensively with JSON data types in PostgreSQL for storing and retrieving structured data.

●

Assist in schema design, data modeling, and migration of existing data to new structures.

●

Maintain and ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

●

Experience in database development using PostgreSQL.

●

Proficiency in PL/pgSQL, including writing and debugging stored procedures and triggers.

●

Strong knowledge of SQL, with experience in writing and optimizing complex queries with a strong understanding of normalization and joins.

●

Hands-on experience working with JSON data in PostgreSQL.

●

Familiarity with performance tuning, query optimization, and analyzing execution plans.

●

Basic understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.

●

Exposure to version control systems like Git, SVN including branching, merging, and pull requests.

●

Good communication skills.
