## ???? About the Role
We are seeking a Heart Failure ICU Nurse Practitioner to join the Critical Care – Heart Failure Unit in Houston, TX.
This role requires an advanced practice professional experienced in managing critically ill cardiovascular patients and performing specialized interventions in a fast-paced ICU environment.
## ????Key Responsibilities
* Manage critically ill cardiac patients (Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant, LVAD, ECMO, Post-Op Cardiac Surgery).
* Perform and assist in arterial lines, central lines, pulmonary artery catheter placement, intubations, and thoracentesis.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
* Participate in process improvement, teaching, and mentorship programs.
* Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery protocols.
## ????Minimum Qualifications
Education:
* Graduate of a State-approved Nurse Practitioner Program (Master’s preferred).
* Acute Care NP certification required for ICU practice.
**Licenses/Certifications:**
* Active Texas RN and NP license.
* BLS, ACLS required (PALS/NRP/ATLS preferred).
**Experience:**
* Minimum **2+ years of Critical Care or ICU experience** (RN or NP).
* Prior experience with **Heart Failure/Mechanical Circulatory Support patients** preferred.
Skills:
* Advanced clinical judgment, critical thinking, and procedural expertise.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
