Job Title: Business Analyst – E2E Planning & Inventory
Reporting To: Product Owner – Plan and Inventory
Travel Requirement: ~10 percent
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Business Analyst to support global planning analytics initiatives with a focus on Replenishment Lead Time (RLT), inventory optimization, and service improvement.
The role operates at the intersection of business, data, and technology, translating business needs into analytical and product requirements. You will collaborate across supply chain, data, IT, and visualization teams to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions and enable data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Product Support
· Act as an extension of the Product Owner in requirement shaping and product thinking
· Understand business context, use cases, and expected outcomes
· Perform discovery and analysis aligned to business goals
· Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies
Requirement Translation & Story Development
· Create user stories in Jira with clear acceptance criteria
· Translate business requirements into technical specifications
· Collaborate with visualization teams (Power BI/Tableau)
· Define requirements for data ingestion and curation
Planning Analytics & Data Logic
· Define and standardize planning metrics such as:
o Replenishment Lead Time (planned vs actual)
o Service levels (OTIF / fill rate)
o Inventory components (cycle, safety, pipeline stock)
· Define data sources, transformations, and business logic
· Ensure data quality and identify variability drivers
Agile Delivery
· Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, refinement, review)
· Ensure stories are development-ready
· Collaborate closely with Product Owner and development teams
Testing & Deployment
· Create and execute UAT and business simulation test cases
· Support testing in absence of dedicated QA
· Conduct demos and manage defect triaging
· Support post-deployment adoption
Data Governance & Process Improvement
· Support data model governance and standardization
· Partner with data quality teams for monitoring frameworks
· Identify process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
· Contribute to global data harmonization initiatives
Stakeholder Collaboration
· Work with planners, inventory managers, and global stakeholders
· Enable business users on analytics tools and outputs
· Support onboarding of team members
Required Qualifications:
· 6–8 years of experience in supply chain, planning analytics, business analysis, or related domains
· Strong understanding of:
o Supply & inventory planning processes
o Lead time concepts
o Service level and inventory metrics
o Demand, supply, sales, and shipment data
· Experience in Agile environments
· Strong SQL and data analysis skills
· Experience with Power BI or similar tools
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions
· Experience working with cross-functional teams
· Experience with SAP (S/4 HANA) and planning tools (Anaplan, Kinaxis, OMP, SAP IBP)
· Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
· Understanding of data modelling (star schema, snowflake)
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or related field
· Exposure to Azure, Databricks, or modern data platforms
· Experience in advanced planning analytics or inventory optimization
· Familiarity with Agile/product delivery models
