We are looking for a passionate Embedded Firmware Engineer (1–2 years) to join our engineering team. The role involves developing, debugging, and maintaining embedded firmware for microcontroller-based products across industrial automation, IoT, fire & safety, and connected device applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Embedded C programming, microcontroller peripherals, communication protocols, and embedded system debugging. The engineer will work closely with hardware, software, Linux, and testing teams to develop reliable, production-ready embedded products. We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer who is eager to learn, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is willing to grow into a complete embedded product development engineer.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain embedded firmware using Embedded C for microcontroller based products.
• Develop firmware for peripherals such as GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, DAC, PWM, Timers, RTC, Watchdog, USB, and Ethernet.
• Integrate sensors, displays, communication modules, and external memory devices.
• Debug firmware using JTAG/SWD debuggers and laboratory equipment.
• Participate in board bring-up, hardware validation, and firmware integration.
• Develop communication protocols and interface with external devices.
• Perform firmware testing, bug fixing, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with hardware, Embedded Linux, cloud, mobile, and QA teams.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile development activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and release notes.
• Support product verification, validation, manufacturing, and production releases
Required Skills
• 1–2 years of experience in Embedded Firmware development.
• Strong programming skills in Embedded C.
• Good understanding of microcontroller architecture and embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience with one or more microcontroller families such as STM32, NXP LPC/Kinetis/i.MX RT, Renesas RL78/RX/RA, TI MSP430
• Good understanding of GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, DAC, PWM, Timers, RTC, Watchdog, DMA, and Interrupt handling.
• Experience in developing firmware for embedded peripherals and hardware interfaces.
• Good understanding of communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, USB, RS 232, and RS-485.
• Understanding of RTOS concepts such as FreeRTOS, Azure RTOS (ThreadX), or similar real-time operating systems.
• Experience with IDEs such as STM32CubeIDE, Keil MDK, IAR Embedded Workbench, e² studio, or MPLAB X.
• Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative software development workflows.
• Basic debugging experience using JTAG/SWD debuggers and Segger J-Link.
• Hands-on experience using Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, and Multimeter for hardware debugging.
• Basic understanding of Flash Memory, EEPROM, SRAM, and external memory interfaces.
• Knowledge of bootloaders, firmware upgrade mechanisms, and in-application programming concepts.
• Understanding of embedded software development lifecycle and firmware design methodologies.
• Familiarity with coding standards, code reviews, and version management.
• Basic understanding of low-power firmware design and power management techniques.
• Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional engineering team.
• Passion for learning new technologies and developing high-quality embedded products.
