Stores Omniclient and BConnected are clienteling applications used by Macy’s and it’s another division Bloomingdale’s respectively. These are used by the Sales Associates in stores to build relationship with customer with features like creating and managing customers, transactions, loyalty, wallet, Sales history, TODOs to follow up with customers, etc., thereby helping customers by creating associate affiliations with ultimate target to serve customers better and increase sales.

Fortress founded in 1975, Fortress is a member of A.S. Watson Group (ASW) which is also a wholly owned subsidiary of Hutchison Whampoa Limited. Currently Users are manually setting up Premium Promotion by Excel. And send the Excel information to Store Operation. Maintaining promotion information through Excel sheets at Stores is very tedious process. Now Store Operation will use Retalix (POS System) to control Override Price and Premium Promotion. This project involves building the application for user to manage Override Code Master, Premium Item List Master and Premium Promotions. Through RETEK, it is interfaced to Retalix.

From initial inspiration to technical specification, the solution facilitates the design, development and testing of private label and branded merchandise.

Luxottica Group is the worlds largest eyewear company, controlling over 80% of the worlds major eyewear brands. Its best known brands are Ray-Ban and Persil. Luxotticas order tracking system tracks the orders that are manufactured in the store and also orders that are manufactured in Luxottica manufacturing units. Order details are moved from multiple systems to give right status of the order to their customer. The objective of Order Tracking System (OTS) is to track the customers orders through its lifecycle in lab, when it is being manufactured. OTS will enable the Store Associates and Supervisors in tracking the order related to the stores irrespective of the order being processed in In-store or processed outside In-store. OTS will display the latest status of the order on the dashboard based on the various scan points set by the business.

The Assortment Planning System (APX) provides a disciplined approach for defining assortments across the entire organization. This application allows one to visualize, define, summarize and analyze the assortments for a specific time-frame. Assortment planning ensures that right products are in the right stores at the right time and at the right price. This means anticipating what customers are looking for and building a product mix that attracts customers.

Common Balancing is a system that reconciles information from multiple sources / applications and based on specific master configuration (that is entered using Common Balancing Table Maintenance application) publishes data regarding discrepancies in information pushed from source to destination application through Common Balancing Application. Common Balancing System provides an easy and user-friendly interface to identify applications that are out of balance or pending. The objective of this project is to move the database from DB2 to Oracle, add Active Directory authorization, design and create audit tables, create Control Point Overview screen to see the balancing results and many other enhancements.

TAMS II (Total Automotive Management System) is an enterprise application having POS, Inventory, Accounts, Planogram, Reports, and many other software capabilities. Following are the TAMSII projects that I worked on: Core Tracking – The primary focus of the Core Tracking Project is to enhance the accuracy of end-of-year bad debt write-offs by implementing a system to better track the unreturned alternate cores. The Core Bank will establish a real-time depository of alternate core account transactions and provide a tracking mechanism for cores that have been purchased and/or returned. Parity Reports – The purpose of this project is to solve the business problems like lack of key Legacy TAMS features by providing the reports that contain all the information provided by the legacy TAMS. Return Authorization – The Return Authorization project (RAU) is a TAMS II program that allows store to control and track the return of parts, cores and warranty labour claims by identifying the original invoice of the item. Tender Types – The TAMS II systems accept VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX and Discover tender types. The business would like to add new tender types to include NAPA Gift Cards, Merchandise Return Cards, Fleet cards, and a NAPA Easy Pay card (GE Money). This business requirement is to implement, in coordination with integration team, the new Tender Types - NAPA Gift Cards, Fleet cards and the NAPA EasyPay card. The NAPA Auto Parts stores that are participating in the tender type program must be able to accept these new tender types. Bin Label Improvements – The business objective of this project is to ensure that all NAPA stores are in compliance with local, state and federal regulations mandating correct pricing displays in retail areas. In order to fulfill this objective, the solution must: Ensure that bin labels are produced when the price of a part in the retail area is changed. Also, ensure that bin labels are not produced when the price of a part in the retail area does not change. Increase the level of notification made to the User when bin labels need to be printed Ensure that bin label alerts are issued before price changes, when possible. Understand state regulations for retail area pricing accuracy better Print bin labels automatically during the end-of-day process TAMS II – JMO Integration – The objective of this project is to enable communication between the warehouse inventory system (TAMS II) and Indago (JMO Indago) using XML messages in such a way that the Activant Ultimate system is no longer needed for this functionality, and the current warehouse management functionality is retained.
