Express Scripts (ESI) is a Fortune 100 company that processes pharmaceutical claims for members at their own mail order and at other network pharmacies. The company recently entered into $29.1 billion merger with Medco and is now the world’s largest pharmacy benefits manager.

We were engaged in a large integration effort following the acquisition of Medco. A critical component of that integration involves the migration of approximately 2,000 Specialty contracts from ESI’s system to Medco’s system. The more quickly and seamlessly Express Script can integrate its specialty client base with that of Medco, the more quickly integration synergies will be realized. While the transfer of contracts is being done from one system to another within ES/Medco, the risk of migrating a client without being ‘ready’ can cause discontinuity in the delivery of pharmaceutical drugs to its most critical patients.

Our team has managed this process so that the client can execute the migration more quickly, efficiently, and reliably while minimizing impact to its clients. The more quickly and seamlessly ESI can integrate its client base with that of Medco, the more quickly synergies will be realized and overall productivity can increase.

The Front-end part is developed using Java and Sofea (a client proprietary front-end tool). Back-end part is developed using DB2 and Oracle. Golden gate is being used to synchronize data between Oracle and DB2.

eZSB is an application which is used for Insurance domain and it incorporates multiple Line of business. It handles the rating processes in various business lines Workers Compensation, Texas Auto and Small Business in property, casualty, automobile or other types of insurance etc. It takes the data entered by the various producers and agents and gives the rating. Rating is nothing but the calculation of premiums for various policies of various products in Zurich. It also handles lot of transactions like issuing, renewing, generating the quick quote, endorsement and final audit of the policies. The rating process is handled by the Ratabase and some back ground jobs.

The Front-End part of which is developed using technologies Visual Basic, ASP, JavaScript, XML, MSMQ, Web Service (Choice point) and the Back-end part is developed using DB2 and SQL Server. This application is capable of interacting with the Mainframe system PMS through MQSeries.

DVIS application which is currently under designing phase is acronym for "Direkt-Versicherungs & Informations-System", or in English it is: "Direct Insurance & Information System". This application is developed to be viewed in different languages such as German, French, Italian and English. DVIS front-end application which will be using ASP Dot Net as web application will be hosted on IIS server on Windows 2007 operating system in Switzerland. DVIS will be using Probiz Engine, a background calculation engine service targeted to be developed using C++/VC++. DVIS will have different front-end applications for example:

DVIS Call Centre (ZuriTel)

The DVIS Call Centre application will only be used by Zurich Financial Services call centre users to support the end user requirements over the phone or emails written by end users. The functionalities would include Creating offers, Cloning the offers, Claim or liabilities etc.

DVIS Internet Application / DVIS BI

The DVIS Internet Application will be used by end users to create offers directly over the internet by their convenience. Once the offer is created the rest of the workflow will transferred/upload to DVIS Call Centre and DVIS Call Centre users will take the offer to further steps to upload details in HOST system.

DVIS also provides a Business Integrations to create offers to their Partner over the Web-Service calls in DVIS Application.

It generates the required documents for the clients.

eZTariff is a web-based application. It provides various solutions in the form of Tariffs for Individual Life, Capital and Risk (Death and Disability) Insurance as well Annuities. It allows for entering client specific details for the selected Tariff. This application invokes the calculation engine (EVBS) that calculates the premiums and/or benefits for the selected Tariff and entered client data based on pre-defined calculation rules and risk variables.

FIS is a plant monitoring system that provides for the automatic collection and display of real-time and historical process data. The system is used to visualize current plant floor conditions and long-term trends in industry standard performance metrics such as OEE, SAJPH, MTTR, MTBF, etc. FIS services 16 Chrysler assembly and powertrain facilities.

The FIS Reporting system is a rite-sourced application that allows plant and corporate personnel to generate reports on the performance of plant processes such as machine breakdowns, root cause analysis, part production, machine cycles, schedule attainment, quality, and performance trends.
