Description

The Two Way Alert service is a subset of the overall affluent cardholder initiative being sponsored by the US Consumer Credit Products group. Two Way Alerts will provide a turnkey service that will enable issuers to query cardholders in near real time via mobile phone text messages when a suspect transaction authorization occurs. Cardholders will be able to respond to issuers via text responses and confirm or deny if they have the card in their possession/authorized the transaction. The information will not be received in time to affect the authorization decision on the initial transaction but can be used by the issuer to affect future authorizations.
