Web-UI enhancements

Description

This tool is used when SAP CRM system is updated from one version to another (eg. CRM 5.0 to 7.0). The aim of the tool is to automatically give the output that which FMs, BADIs and other technical objects are obsolete for that particular version.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing the interface at backend to fetch the data from the tables.
• Developed the function module (in CRM 5.0) to fetch data from table and update it in wrapper FM which in turn is responsible for displaying the output.
• Coordinating with the team for the output of the details as a pie-chart by using Java and Asp.net.
• Presented the tool to internal and external clients.

Description

This tool is used when a new resource is assigned to a project. The tool automates the assigning of role and other responsibilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• As one of the developer of this tool, I was responsible for developing the interface at backend to assign the required role to the resource.
• Developed a class to get the details of role assigned to the user by using a database table.
• The role and the properties of role is passed as a returning parameter, once the details are passed the same role is assigned to the new user created in the system.

Description

This enhancement was made to send the automatic emails to customer who has placed order. The mails where send at following 3 conditions:-

• When the customer has placed order
• If the order is getting delayed by 15days with option to cancel the order
• If the order is cancelled by client due to unavailability of items or logistic issues

Roles & Responsibilities

• As the technical developer of this enhancement I was responsible for developing (coding) it.
• A new custom table was made for this which would hold flag on which email was to be sent.
• A new report program was made which was schedule to be run every night and depending upon the flags, the mail was sent to the user.
• The standard class of CL_BCS is used to achieve the email functionality.

Description

When the field agent goes on to collect data for new customer, they maintain it in a hand held device and once they plug in into system, the data is transferred to PI in an excel. The input system for the field agent was a PI system. We made a proxy to read the details from PI system and after doing necessary validation the data (Business Partner) is created in CRM system.

Roles & Responsibilities

• As one of the technical developer of this enhancement I was responsible for developing (coding) it.
• After the configuration of proxy was completed, by using SPROXY a new proxy was made, this had the input of the standard BP creation fields like first name, last name, tel phone num etc.
• Once the data is available in the input of the proxy the validation like – duplicate check, phone number validation, first name last name validation etc. is done.
• When the data is validated the new customer is created in CRM system by using the standard FM BP_CREATE.

Description

The purpose of this enhancement is to reprice all the items of a given sales transaction according to the discounts applied in the pricing detail of the product associated with it.

For this a new assignment block was made in the web-ui which will give an option to end user to group all the items he wants to a particular product group and apply the discount collectively on it. This saved a considerable amount of time for sales agents.

Roles & Responsibilities

• As the technical developer and designer of this enhancement I have worked on the technical specification, coding and fixing of UAT defects for this enhancement.
• A new field was added in the item assignment block which was made a dropdown, the dropdown value is fetched from the category table.
• A new assignment block was made in web-ui this assignment block was responsible to group the line items depending upon the category selected in the item assignment block.
