Credit system is involved in development and maintenance of group of applications called NBP (New Banking Platform) which are used by the branch staff of AIB. This application is intended to create accounts, manage accounts, loans and several other tasks. This application is live for ROI, FT and GB regions. This application also helps the branch staff in maintaining the customer personal data, loans and other information. It also interacts with several third-party applications for e.g. ICB (Irish credit Bureau) which helps bank to determine whether loan should be dispersed to particular customer or not.
Host services is a part of NBP. It is a new Spring MVC application which help NBP to interact with DB. It has replaced the older mainframe application to provide faster access and more maintainable code.
