AccuWeather D3 (Data Driven Decisions)
Preprocessed historical weather data and built consumer facing website for our client AccuWeather’s D3 Express product.Developed using theASP.NET framework,Python, JavaScript, and Azure.
Achievement Highlights:
- Worked under a pseudo-ScrumBan pattern for Company specific project management, allowing the AccuWeather project changes to take priority without sacrifice to the in-house proprietary product.
- Discovered limitations when using Python to extract large, ~20GB, compressed file from Azure Block Blob Storage. Each file expanded to ~85GB, and the entire process consumed over a petabyte of data in a 4 month running/changing process.

Developed Company’s front-end framework with Ember.js middleware in Revel/Golang connected to an InfluxDB backend, with forecasting service built with flask/Python. Performed time series forecasting on 125 database metrics.

Expanded Company’s eCommerce platform working with ReactJS/Redux accompanied by Python flask microservices with feature driven deployment cycles. Optimized site to allow the 12 domains in 7 languages with 25,000 daily visitors to have internationalized sales utilizing Contentful and Phraseapp with nearly $50m in yearly revenue.
