MIS or Material Information System is a global web-based system which will assist in Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company to streamline the Materials Information System which is an integral part of the Approval process. The scope of MIS project was to design an Approval Process work flow for following Material types used in the construction of Tires in Goodyear :

Raw Material, Reinforcement

The application developed is used by the purchasing department of Goodyear to track the work flow of the sourcing of material and its approval for plant production.

The TCGM system is used by Abbott International Division Manufacturing Accounting Department to track profit margin for sales in the supply chain between Abbott entities until the product is sold to a third party. The TCGM system has been implemented with a Web-based user interface

ESA (Enterprise Service Automation) is a kind to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) for the service industry. It is an integrated solution specific to service centric organizations to optimize project revenue, reduce project delivery cost and increase resource utilization. The ESA modules are Contracts, Budget, Resource management (RM), Project Costing, Billing, Expenses and Account Receivables (AR).

This project takes a data subset approach that is driven by metadata-driven SQL scripts. The subset of data is based on a business driven set of Screen protocols. This set of protocols drives which records in all downstream tables that will be copied to the test instance. The list of protocols and the subset logic for downstream tables are defined in a set of metadata tables. The output of this project is a set of metadata tables and an Oracle script that can be run to create the database subset.

The project objective is to standardize reference data across GCIARM to enable consistency across GCIB sales and performance tools. This includes improving the overall customer experience, enabling CRMS customers to exploit data, enabling system predictability, achieving a measureable environment, fostering data tract and reducing CRMS overall TCO. The Database layer is responsible for defining and holding database objects for storing reference data from various source systems and PLSQL programs that are required to extract, manipulate and transform the data. Database layer provides various customs API’s to interface with J2EE front-end in order to support data representation within GUI and for supporting various DML operations on the user input.
