Descriptions: Direct Delivery System (DDS) is a distributed system which process "After Sales" requirements for the GME NSC (General Motors Europe, “22” National Sales Company). This system consists of five modules that interact with each other and lot of interfaces. COP (Customer Order Processing): reception of dealer orders, validation, pricing and referral to vendors. Invoicing: invoicing to dealers, account determination, month end processes. Pricing: new parts price calculation, part price recalculation and price publication. APAY (Accounts Payable): handling of supplier invoices, account determination. Costing: parts cost calculation, supplier invoice verification. The Direct Delivery System is designated to operate for GM Parts Distribution Centers (PDC) with or without parts warehouse and direct Inventory Management responsibilities which includes Parts ordering, acknowledgment, pricing, invoicing functionality. The DDS application processing starts with order creation, validation and verification followed by the calculation of the cost and price of the items in the order. DDS processing continues with the validation of the part for the dealer and the creation of notices to the warehouses for shipment items to the Dealer. After the order has shipped, DDS generates the Dealer Invoice and passes all pertinent financial information to the GM Europe Financial applications.
