Macy’s has roughly 680 department stores up and running, including Bloomingdale’s, and about 190 specialty stores that consist of Bloomingdale’s The Outlet, Bluemercury and Macy’s Backstage. We have developed reports and visualization to show the detailed information about the inventory available in the stores along with available stock in inventory. We also captured the products scanned by individual scanned product count, time taken to scan products by each employee. There is visualization to show trends according to the season. This project is a migration project. Migrated from on prem to GCP cloud server. My responsibilities involve such as analyze the existing application which are developed using other platforms like terra data, SSRS, Tibco. Created a single entity which can capture all the business-related information and created visualization. During this activity I have diligently worked with senior architect to provide better solution for real time data streaming.

Activities

1. Developed report which can capture data from streaming device.
2. Consumed data from API.
3. Displayed real time data from spanner.
4. Created data flow jobs from spanner to big query in GCP.
5. Created reports using Incremental refresh feature.
6. Developed report using both direct query and import from data source model.
7. Created workspace in power BI services for various other teams.
8. Captured user metrics for workspaces and report across our organization.
9. Created batch jobs and scheduled automatic refresh jobs for every 30 min.
10. Explore the features released from Microsoft every month and try to incorporate those features in existing report.
11. Created CI / CD pipeline and maintained the pipeline.

Chewy, Inc. is an American online retailer of pet food and other pet-related products. Our reports have visualization about products available in inventory. Fast moving products and its count. Trending pet foods every month. We developed other reports which shows employee efforts both contractual and permanent job. My responsibilities involve such as creating dashboard reports, worksheets. Creating business intelligence reports, visualizations and attending feedback sessions to improve systems. Developed reports and dashboard and published the reports in tableau server
