This is a migration project from Java/Oracle platform to the Bigdata platform using Spark and Scala. These are health care models where each model output the health condition of the user or the riskt assiciated with the Insured. All the models were re-written using the spark framework and Scala as language. Have writtend around 120 models by myself and have acquired good understanding of the framework and the language.

The project endeavors to provide analytic solutions to Health insurance companies, which guide them to restructure and/or deliver their products more intelligently. This project is to develop a big data plat form using the Hortonworks big data framework and to facilitate various insurance providers data processing. The data processing involves various stages such as Data preprocessing, Data ingestion, Data loading and Analyze the data. The technologies involved are Hadoop eco system components such as HDFS is file system to store the files, Hive as database, Pentaho as an ETL tool and Pentaho c-Tools to develop dash boards.

A joint venture of Sykes Enterprises and Health Care Services is an integrated health management provider. The services include care management, benefit plan administration, insurance carrier management and spending account management. SHPS provide corporations and consumers with a single, comprehensive source of health management decision guidance.

The Client required a comprehensive health care management data warehouse solution which will consolidate metrics related to all the fields of Business like insurance carrier management, Claim Management, Call management, Spending account management etc

Role / Responsibilities:

• Participate in Client meeting to gather the requirements and notify the status of the project.
• Distribute the work among the team members and work on the tasks along with them.
• Provide functional and Technical knowledge required for the development.
• Conducting the meeting with the team members regularly to get the update about the project.

Benefitfocus has two primary types of clients – partner insurance carriers and the employers that use products. Benefitfocus seek long-term partnerships with insurance carriers. Together with the insurance carrier, we encourage the carrier’s employer groups to use the Benefitfocus Platform for benefit enrollment. We then are able to add significant value to the insurance carrier because we can transmit enrollment information to the carrier electronically, which allows the carrier to eliminate the manual and tedious process of “entering paper enrollment forms into their membership systems. The insurance carrier wants to have a high percentage of their employers use the Platform, so they can achieve substantial cost savings.

• Understanding the requirement and analyze them to see the best way to implement the code.
• Write the procedures/packages to meet the expected behavior.
• Preparation of Testing and releasing Issues.

This project is about purging the Audit data for all the master tables. In order to reduce the maintenance cost and storage cost involved with storing the Audit data in the test database Benefitfocus decided to delete all the data from about 520 Audit tables that gets records inserted as and when a record is been added or deleted from the master tables based or certain condition. This has to be done on all the test database environments of the application called eEnrollemnt.

Role / Responsibilities:

• Getting the information about deletion criteria to delete data from the audit tables.
• Wrote a single procedure to cleanse the 520 odd tables though the deletion criteria for different for different tables.
• Brought the deletion time from 4 hours/1 million to 4 min / 1 million
• Documented all the values like counts of records before and after purging ,time take for purging of each Audit table
• Carried the purging in all 15 environments.

This project deals with the cleansing of Non Avaya data from the Nortel Databases as Avaya had acquired a small part of Nortel. This project includes Extraction of Only Non Avaya data and Cleansing the Non Avaya data from the database and keeping only Avaya data in their database to help running Avaya business on their own databases.

ARDW is the short form for the Accounts Receivables Data Warehouse. This Application Deals with the Accounts receivables of Sun. ARDW receives data from source CorpODS which extracts data from 10.7(ERP) and various other source and replicates the data to ARDW through the Shareplex.

Sunaware is the re-engineering of the Sun GLOBE Reporting System from its Legacy state into a Decision Support System (DSS). Sunaware is a global data warehouse consisting primarily of Order Management data including, Customer bookings, backlog, billings, and shipment transactions. Sunaware receives its data from the major Order Entry, Accounts Receivable and Manufacturing Systems. Worldwide OE and AR information is received from Oracle (Sun RAMP). In addition, Sunaware also receives supporting reference information such as: customer, customer address, customer agreement, part, price, and cost information from Oracle.
