Description

My role was to design and develop a site for uploading and downloading pdf documentation. I gathered requirements, designed and builtthe database, wrote the business logic and designed and developed the front end. The internal client providedminimal requirements. This site has saved the company a substantial amount of money. Paper manuals will no longer be inserted into sewing machine boxesinstead the link to this site is shown on the outside of the box. The site uses IPStack to determine the user's default language. Westwind Globalization is used forlocalization. A similar site for Warranty documentation was requested after viewing the web manual site. I was able to copy and make minor changes to provide thatsite quickly.

I support the day to day bug fixes/issues as well as develop new features. SVP added an eCommerce piece to this that uses Cybersource and Elastic Path. I helped support the third party contractors with code management and knowledge transfer. The site is used to register sewing machines for Singer, Viking, and Pfaff. Once registered users can connect their Wi-fi enabled machines to download embroidery software and receive information about their sewing machine model(s).

Description

This was my first MVC/Web APIweb application. I worked with a more senior .Net developer using the MVVM design pattern for and Responsive Web Design. I helped build the database. We used Linq to Entity to build out the data repositories. We used Web API to call controller logic. To layout the UI we used the Bootstrap JS framework. This site was an intranet portal for Accounts Receivable to keep track of notes on certain refunds that were being lost in the old system.

Description

I created and maintained several custom internal and external web applications. A couple of projects included:

Weather mashup using Bing maps and NOAA SOAP API to show the weather over Empire's Electrical service area. It was also an outage map that used colored polygons representing the number of service outages for counties/districts.

Gas company nomination management. The amount of natural gas in a pipeline has to be nominated so as not to have too little or too much gas at any time. The price of gas fluctuates and each pipeline may have different capacities. I converted an Excel spreadsheet into a .Net Web Form application that kept track of the monthly nominations for each pipeline.

Empire District was sold to Liberty Utilities and the site was changed so it is no longer available to view.
