Client: Gap Inc Jun 2018 – Present Program Release Manager / Domain release manager

  • Managing release cycle for GAP’s OMS ( Order Management System ) , ICM ( Inventory Control Management ) and other DC’s Applications in Bi_Weekly release cadence.
  • Success in OMS management paved the way to manage GAP’s Stores Release for both ORPOS and NGPOS along with Mobile releases as well .

Client: Macys Inc Jun 2017 – Jun 2018 Program Release Manager / Domain release manager

  • Managed release cycle for Macy’s( MCOM) / BloomingDale’s( BCOM) in Monthly release cadence.
  • As a Release Manager responsible for managing all the releases for MCOM & BCOM Web & Mobile Platforms.
  • Following the true Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery methodology to deliver changes to production.
  • Create and Implement the methodology for Macy’s Inc to move to their systems to GCE (Google Cloud Environments ) .
  • Create the plan to reduce Macy’s dependency on IBM Physical Environments and move Macy’s LLE( Low Level Environments) to GCE to save costs.
  • Pioneering the new process of Passivating the environments when not necessary thus saving costs.
  • Move Macy’s release plan from an Enterprise Monthly Cadence release to Bi-Weekly Domain Based release and Implemented it from 2018 releases.

  • As a Release Manager responsible for managing two products GuideWire ClaimCenter and ContactManager, CrestBrook Claims
  • As an AGILE process owner for this project, manage the branching strategy for the code repository SUBVERSION , GIT / GITHUB and train dev resources to use appropriate branch for code-checkin.
  • Represent the projects in CCB (Change Control Board) meetings and put placeholders for Agile Sprint Releases.
  • Develop / Customize the Guidewire, CrestBrook build and deployment process along with release notes for Sprints, Hotfixes, and Emergency Deployments.
  • Create and Configure the Web Sphere Appserver instances for all Guidewire Environments along with both the automated deployment of the Guidewire Application using scripts, and also deploy the application manually on Web sphere wherever necessary.
  • Coordinate Oracle data base drop / refreshes for the build and deployment process
  • Perform Smoke Testing for the Guidewire Applications after the deployment.
  • Manage and Install the Guidewire monthly changes that are delivered into Production in the form of Sprints
  • Conduct and manage PIR (Post Implementation Reviews) for every Production Release and learn / correct the processes wherever necessary.
  • Represent the products in Stakeholder Business meetings and explain / discuss any showstoppers and update the status of progress.
  • Secure Business resources for Production Releases especially in case the release falls into Holidays / Weekends.
